Media Buyer & Planner

About the Role
The Media Buyer and Planner is a media-savvy, integrative media buyer/planner who has strong relationships with their clients and media vendors, can develop media plans and present to clients, and can translate data into actionable insights and deliver on the intended client result. The Media Buyer and Planner will be a key collaborator with internal personnel, the client team, and creative agency partners. We are looking for someone with a strong background in media buying and planning in both traditional and digital media.

Required Skills

- An optimistic and positive attitude towards our team, clients, and partners
- 2 + years’ experience in agency account service, or digital media buying and planning. This experience would be ideally with a recognized media agency or in-house media planning/buying team
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills and demonstrated client relationships
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Strong analytic skills and the ability to prioritize needs from multiple clients
- A demonstrable understanding of media buying and planning, including media negotiating, media planning, media buying, along with digital and traditional media plans across tactics, from strategy through reporting
- Digital media experience including negotiating, planning and overseeing digital media plans across tactics, from strategy through reporting
- Strong working knowledge of the industry and trade, sharing with co-workers and clients
- Common knowledge of of popular media planning and research tools such as Freewheel (aka Strata), SQAD, Nielsen, Kantar
- Proven project management skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills, and a flair for storytelling
- Proven ability to develop strong professional relationships
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively
